Media – Watercolour and mixed mediaBorn and raised in Shropshire, lived in Africa for 5 years, then in Hampshire for 20 years, now recently relocated to Cheshire.
I have no formal art training but rather a love of all things creative. An early career in floristry (training at the then Welsh College of Horticulture) gave me solid grounding in colour theory, shape and texture and the principles of design.
Hard work, experimentation, and advice and encouragement from a professional artist started me on my artistic journey, gaining along the way election to full membership of the Society of Women Artists, with whom I have won the HRH Princess Michael of Kent watercolour award.
I have also taught extensively during my years in Hampshire and built a reputation for imaginative, inspiring and creative teaching whilst always pursuing my own development and exhibiting of work. My work hangs in private collections in the UK and abroad.
